1. Are you becoming your mother?
*sigh* Probably in some respects, and I don’t mind some respects. In others…I ask my husband to lovingly nudge me and let me know when I do certain things my mother does that kind of annoy me. I told him that as we get older, this becomes mor eand more of his primary job. 🙂
2. Coffee or tea?
Neither. I just don’t really care for either of them. I tried and tried to like coffee in college and never did. I try to like tea every so often and I don’t.
I stick to diet coke and water. Mostly water. A little diet coke for variety. I wish it were healthy and socially acceptable to sip Margaritas all day long. But…well, yeah.
3. What foreign country would you like to visit?
Italy. I want to go to Rome and Vatican City at some point in my life.
4. Do you cry easily?
It really depends. For most of last year, I would have said yes. Because I was going through some stuff…and if my daughter looked at me cross-eyed, I would start bawling. And then, I got control of all that stuff and it’s not as easy to start crying anymore. But then yesterday, as Helen received the Holy Eucharist for the very first time, the tears came. So, I guess if it’s a really big thing — I cry easily.
5. How often do you wear heels?
Never. I used to try to wear them because lots of women in corporate America do. But I swore off wearing anything uncomfortable a few years ago and never looked back. I don’t care how good it looks, if it hurts or makes me feel awkward while walking, I don’t wear it anymore.
6. Do you play an instrument?
I learned to play piano when I was a child. I can still pick out about half of Minuet in D by someone…
I also got pretty good at clarinet and recorder growing up. But I was always second chair in Clarinet. A girl in my class was a phenomenal musician and kicked everyone’s tail at the clarinet…so, I kind of gave up trying to be the best at it by 7th grade.
These are fun. I like answering these questions! Nice change of pace.
